The One-Minute Read #2 (Happiness in CEE)

The 2019 World Happiness Report (edited by John F. Helliwell, Richard Layard and Jeffrey D. Sachs) has been focusing on happiness and community, analyzing how happiness has been changing over the past dozen years, and how information technology, governance and social norms influence communities.

Finland, which headed the table in 2018, came top again, followed by Denmark, Norway (top in 2017) and Iceland. The Netherlands joined them in the top five. Switzerland, Sweden, New Zealand, Canada and Austria completed the top 10 in 2019.

What about Central & Eastern Europe in terms of happiness? Where did the CEE countries rank among the 156 surveyed countries?
